About Cookies
This page covers the cookies on the Belleville Casino site and what each kind does. Some keep the lights on, and the optional ones stay off until you choose otherwise.
A. What cookies are
Tiny files. Big part of how the site runs.
Cookies are small bits of data a browser saves on behalf of a website. On your next visit the browser passes them back, letting the site recognise your session and settings. Session cookies disappear once the browser closes; persistent ones last for a set time, then expire.
Pixels, local storage and similar technologies behave like cookies, so these terms apply to them as well.
B. Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the doors open. Always on.
Without these, the casino does not work. They:
- hold your login steady while you hop between pages and games;
- protect your account and help us block fraud;
- power the geolocation checks that happen before you deposit and play;
- keep the cashier working while you make a payment;
- remember the choices you made about optional cookies.
Our settings panel offers no off switch for these. Blocking them in your browser stops sign-in, games and the cashier from working.
C. Marketing cookies
Off unless you switch them on.
If you opt in, marketing cookies show us which partner sites and campaigns sent you our way, and cap how often you see any single message. They have no effect on odds, games or your account. In Ontario, logged-out visitors never see bonus ads, and marketing stops completely for self-excluded players and those on a cooling-off break.
D. Managing or switching them off
Your switchboard. Your call.
- First visit? A banner appears letting you opt in or out of every optional group.
- Rethinking your choices? Cookie settings lives in every page footer: tap it to adjust your picks anytime.
- Through your browser settings you can block or remove cookies, or ask to be warned before one is stored.
- Clearing your browser data removes cookies already stored, and the banner returns on your next visit.
Declining optional cookies never affects your games, your balance or your withdrawals.
E. Analytics cookies
Counting traffic, not following people.
Flip the switch on and analytics cookies track which pages draw visits, page load speed and where errors show up. We read the overall numbers, never a single person, to fix problems and make the site better. No consent, no analytics: they stay off until you agree.
F. Functional cookies
Small comforts for return visits.
Functional cookies hold on to your language, display choices, recent games and the last username entered. Turn them off and everything still works, though you will have to set those choices again every visit.
G. Third-party cookies
Some cookies come from our partners.
Game studios, live-dealer studios, payment partners, and analytics and marketing partners can place cookies of their own when their content is shown on our site. Their own privacy notices govern how they use that data. Third-party cookies in the analytics and marketing groups respect the options you select in our cookie settings.
H. Changes
New cookie, updated page.
Any time a cookie group is added, dropped or changed, this page gets a fresh date showing when the change takes effect. If the change needs your consent, the cookie banner comes back. Questions about cookies? Write to help@bellevillecasino.app.
